My story
Hello my name is Captain Wolf. I was found as a stray and picked up by animal control and my people never came for me. I was urgent since the shelter was full and heard them talking about my 'last day' and wasn't sure what was going on in this scary place. I was kenneled with my friend Hank and we were pulled together since we were one anothers buddy in that scary place and we are also in the same foster home. I am 4 years old and a lab mix. I am not fully vetted yet because I am low heart worm positive but that can be fixed easy with meds. My rescue has already stated my meds and I will be retested in 6 months. If I am lucky and find a home before then i would test positive again, my rescue will pay for more treatment until I test positive. Please dont let these pesky heart wormsScare you away. They are not contagious to other dogs and I got them due to a mosquito bit that was infected and I wasnt on heart worm preventives. These are taken monthly. I hang my head at times because I just dont understand what is going on. I really love going outside to play in my yard and to take a nap in the warmSunshine in Houston TX. I like having other dogs to play with as well and want my own family. I need a foster or adopter in NC where my rescue is before I can leave TX. My rescue said they hope I will be able to come the end of January. I love my toys and play well with others. I am kinda shy at first and would do fine in a home with other dogs or in a home without. If you can help me find my forever home or give me a foster home or a forever home, please contact my rescue people ASAP. I cant wait to experience home life and be loved forever and ever.
