Scout's story
YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION IN ORDER TO SET UP A TIME TO MEET OUR PETS.
Scout is a very handsome 71 pound pup, probably around 3 years old, who looks like a yellow Lab or mix. He is healthy and fit, with strong muscles and a thick coat.
Scout has the typical Lab personality that Lab lovers desire. He is friendly and welcoming to people though of course needs to check out strangers. He has the happy confidence of a family dog. He bonds quickly and highly values his family and friends.
However, he is not used to being around other dogs and needs to be an only dog in his new home. He has done okay with some dogs in the past but does not enjoy pesky or rude dogs. He needs to learn more leash manners on walks.
He does tend to jump with enthusiasm and can easily knock over little kids but he would probably love to have some older children in his new home to play with since he is a very active dog. He does do well with older children.
Scout is playful but not overly so. He likes to play for a bit and then do something else. He will need plenty of good walks and adventures, however, like any Lab. He does enjoy lots of family time and can get bored when left alone so should be crated when everyone is away.
Scout already knows how to sit and army crawl towards you so he is certainly trainable. He can be overly enthusiastic and energetic if he has not had a lot of activity, so further training after plenty of exercise will be very good for him. He is smart!
He does not seem to like cats so his new home should be cat free please.
He keeps his kennel clean, waiting until he it taken outside to do his business. He is already housetrained and crate trained.
If you love the Lab temperament and have the time and energy to keep an active young dog happy, come meet our handsome Prince!
He does have a strong, confident personality and will greatly appreciate an alpha owner who will provide the structure and training that he needs and desires. He definitely needs an active family since Scout enjoys plenty of adventures and stimulation to wear him out. If you are looking for a laid back dog, Scout is not for you, but if you are fit, strong, and active and want a canine partner who is the same, please come meet our handsome Scout.
